History: Forest Lakes Ski Area was a built in relation to housing developments in the area. The area installed one J-bar that usually ran a half speed because the hill catered to beginning-type snow riders. In 1983, the Colorado Tramway Board was never paid for the lift inspection conducted on the J-Bar. It is not clear why the area actually closed but factors like lack of snow, skiers, and money were probably key factors. |
