| Operation Dates: ~1938 - 1940 Location: At the head of Watson Gulch in Jefferson County, at Fun Valley Lifts: 1 boat tow History: Horace Watson and Loren Fender constructed this Area. The tow and runs were built in the summer of 1938. The Littleton Independent Press listed the tow as being 900 feet long, with a rise of 375 feet. The boat tow was 7 1/2 feet wide by 12 feet long, with a weight of 900 pounds. Ticket prices were ten cents per ride or fifty cents a day! The area's site later became the location of Fun Valley Ski Area. |
