After 7 years of silence, on December 17, 2007 Ski Rio announced a
new owner CIMEX Invest Inc of Naples, FL and the Czech Republic.
They purchased the ski area for a reported 6.5 million dollars.  Included
with the sale are the chairlifts, base facilities, hotels, 2,500 acres of private
land, and water rights.

As of January 2010, Ski Rio will be open for business.  The ski area, now
called Endless Blue Resort, will run powder cats for the remainder of the
season.  There are two packages available including full day guided trips
for $250 or half days for $150.  Lodging is also available for those
wishing to spend the night.  Rooms include singles or double beds.

Check back for a trip report later this month!
