Colorado's Lost Resorts
When people consider skiing in Colorado, areas like Vail, Aspen,
Telluride and other destination resorts come to mind.  The truth of the
matter is that Colorado hosted over 175 ski areas since it became a state
in the mid-1800's.  Today, only about 30 ski areas operate on a regular
basis, leaving over 145 dormant sites.

To help preserve skiing history, we ask that if you have skied or visited a
lost resort to submit a memory of your time spent there.  This can include
background information on the area's operation, any exciting on-mountain
stories, fond memories, pictures, or anything else you might want to share!
This can be done by using the contact us button to the left or in our

interactive forum.
